Barry went through a series of personal tragedies in both his childhood and more recently, which led him to develop a very pessimistic outlook on life. He is unstable and feeling suicidal, and should you disregard Dragan's warning and disturb him in his current state of mind, on your further visits to the Hanging Rat bar you will witness him creeping closer and closer to the fence overlooking the abyss below. Talk to him there, and that will be the last time you see him alive. You can find his corpse in Deep Caverns.
