Plasma Pistols are an energy weapon. Unlike firearms, plasma pistols deal half of their damage as Energy and half as Heat. Plasma pistols resemble large-caliber pistols in terms of AP cost and damage. They use batteries as ammo.
Compared to Laser Pistols, laser pistols have much higher AP cost and damage per shot, lower precision and range.
