This page contains is an overview on some of common status effects in Underrail. For more details, see individual status effect pages.

List of status effects

General

  • In Combat — locked in turn-based combat mode.
  • Focused — vastly increases accuracy with ranged weapons.
  • Regenerating — you slowly regenerate health when above 90% HP.
  • Level Up — Your character has earned enough experience to advance a level. Left-click to proceed with leveling up.

Buffs

Available to player character
Used by enemies only
  • Pack Hunting — pack animal group buff.
  • Psionic Synergy — Azuridae group buff.
  • Safe Mode — immune to short circuiting. Mechanical enemies reboot in safe mode if short-circuited.

Debuffs

Available to player character
  • Stunned — Cannot move or perform any actions.
  • Incapacitated — Cannot move or perform any actions, but any damage taken will remove the effect.
  • Fear — Rathounds are deathy afraid of fire.
  • Short Circuited — electric and EMP attacks cause this on mechanical targets.
  • Off-balance — Cannot dodge or evade hits.
  • Entangled — What throwing nets do.
  • Chilled — Reduces movement points.
  • Bleeding Wound — Deals mechanical damage over time.
  • Burning — Deals heat damage over time. Most, but not all, organic creatures panic when set on fire.
  • Poison — Deals bio damage over time.
  • various feat effects.
