Tentacles killed with mutagen puzzle?

It just occurred to me that I don't know for sure if the mutagen puzzle always kills the same 4 tentacles or if it is random. I had just one save nearby for testing, would be nice if someone else could test it. - epeli (talk) 04:40, 15 July 2016 (CDT)

I just looked into my save and it seems to be random. In my save the Bio Tentacle, Plasma Tentacle and Cryo Tentacle were alive, the others were dead. - Pentapus (talk) 10:25, 15 July 2016 (CDT)

I also did the mutagen puzzle again with the same playthrough and still the same three tentacles as mentioned above are destroyed. I guess which tentacles are destroyed is different for each playthrough, but it is not randomized when you do the puzzle, rather fixed for every single playthrough. - Pentapus (talk) 10:36, 15 July 2016 (CDT)
