Contributing to the wiki

There are many ways in which you can help. Don't be afraid to edit and create articles!

Adding missing stuff to lists

Although we do not have much content yet, there are many redlink lists for upcoming content.

You can help simply by checking them for missing stuff and adding anything you know of.

Items

• Blueprints - incomplete list
• Components - incomplete list
• Batteries - missing 1 battery type
• Consumables - incomplete list(?)
• Utilities - incomplete list
• Plot - could use a list of all key items
• Medicine
• Tools
• Traps - needs a list of all trap items
• Weapons

Locations

• No detailed location list exists yet, but you can add whatever details you want

Characters

• Missing all characters from dungeons
• some characters from sgs/junkyard might be missing

Creatures

• Missing many creatures from the list

Quests

• Missing 0.1.7.0 additions
• Check quest names from in-game data.

Creating new individual articles

Items

If you want to add new items to the wiki, here are the infobox templates you need, and their docs:

• blueprints
• components
• weapons
• armor
• all other items

Locations

You can write individual pages for feats, characters and other things, but they don't have infoboxes yet.

Just typing the relevant in-game text to a wiki page without anything else helps a lot!

Building new wiki content

This young wiki still lacks plenty of content. You can help!

For instance, check out the wanted pages for a list of linked-to pages that don't yet exist. Feel free to create any of them!

Feats

• There is no infobox for feats yet. If you know what you're doing, make one! you can use Template:Infobox common style as the common style.
  • This infobox will be pretty similar with psi power infobox

Psi powers

• There is no infobox for psi powers yet. If you know what you're doing, make one! you can use Template:Infobox common style as the common style.
  • This infobox will be pretty similar with feat infobox

Characters

• character infobox template is not yet ready. you can use Template:Infobox common style for the item infoboxes to get started.
  • start building character pages

Locations

• create a list of locations per areaname(visible in saved games)
  • come up with a hierarchy and organize location pages

Quests

• needs to be split into subpages, one per quest.
  • detail quests; walkthrough, rewards, etc

Uploading content images

• export, edit and upload images from game data with an XNB exporter
  • All feats need images
  • psi abilities need images
  • item with composite icons need to be built and uploaded (item icons should be 35x35 or 33x33 PNG with alpha background)
• screenshots and editing!
  • all npcs could use an image
  • all monsters could use an image
  • every area could use a map image

Quality assurance

• Improve the main page
• Check content articles for typos
• Fix formatting as you see fit
• Check game mechanics related articles for information correctness and add sources if possible.
• Help expand some article stubs.
• Locate and mark pages that need expanding as article stubs.
• Create links to some orphaned pages.
• Fix any double redirects by redirecting the first page to the third page.
• Check for broken redirects and either mark them for deletion or find a more appropriate target.
• Create some links on dead end pages.
• Check the list of wanted pages for frequently linked-to articles that don't exist yet.
• To follow the changes to this wiki, and to look out for new users and edits use recent changes.
